To Foil a Tyrant (Exodus 1:8-2:10)
The backstory to Moses' life gives us a sobering glimpse into the way a powerful nation can come to be terribly oppressive toward the most vulnerable people in society. The story also shows that a few ordinary people without much power, living from their humanity and the courage of their convictions rather than from fear, can foil the tyrant!
